Komal's Story

Komal Luthra, an Amazon #1 bestseller author, shares her personal story of how she discovered the law of attraction and healed herself from a brain stroke using the power of her mind.

Where does your story begin?

My story started in New Delhi, India. I came from a humble background but I was always a good student and dreamed of becoming a doctor. Life had other plans for me though. When I was 17 years old, my mother got paralyzed and I had to quit my studies and start working to support myself and my family. I got a job in the corporate world and climbed the ladder of success. I was doing fine, making ends meet, but not “happy”. I felt like something was missing in my life.

My love for a man who turned every struggle into a blessing was the only thing that gave me joy. We wanted to tie the knot but In India, love marriages are not easy, especially when they go against the societal norms. We faced a lot of difficulties and opposition from our families and society, but we didn’t give up on our love. We fought for our right to be together and eventually got married.

But even after getting married, I felt like there was more to life than just working and managing household chores. I wanted to do something meaningful and fulfilling with my life. That’s when I stumbled upon a book that changed everything for me. It was about the law of attraction, the universal principle that says you attract what you focus on. It opened my eyes to a new way of thinking and being. It made me realize that I had the power to create my own reality with my thoughts and emotions.

I became obsessed with learning more about this topic. I read many books, watched documentaries, videos, and practiced various techniques to manifest my desires. And it worked! I started to see amazing results in every area of my life. We bought our dream house, I wrote a book that became an Amazon bestseller, and achieved many other goals that I had set for myself.

‘The Only Way Out Is In’ is a short and practical guide that teaches you how to reprogram your subconscious mind, which is responsible for 95% of your thoughts and actions. It shows you how to clear your limiting beliefs, visualize your dream life, and change your perspective on reality.

The insights shared in the book have been articulated from a place of experience & inner clarity. Humans acquire certain tendencies and accumulate disempowering beliefs at an early age. These outdated subconscious programs can be completely rewired in order to transform your life with certain inner work. Have you ever spent an entire day without any single unpleasant thought or feeling in your life so far? Everyone is looking for a way towards a happier life. Some find it in the wine, and some in divine. But for finding a way out of misery, anxiety, fear, lack, anger, suffering, or anything unpleasant, you need to turn inward. There’s only one way out – and that is in!

The most amazing thing that happened to me was when I healed myself from a brain stroke using the power of my mind. It was a month after publishing my book, when one morning I was struck by a sudden loss of speech and sentence formation. I was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a brain stroke. I had a clot in my brain that could cause serious damage or permanent disability, the doctors said. It reminded me of my mother’s ordeal 15 years ago and it terrified me beyond words.

I was scared, but I didn’t give up hope. I knew that I had a powerful tool at my disposal: the law of attraction. I decided to use it to heal myself. I prayed, chanted mantras, invoked divine help, and visualized myself healthy and happy at home with my family. And it worked! Within three hours, my body started to heal naturally. The doctors were amazed and said it was a miracle.

Going through a brain seizure and spending 30 hours in the neuro ICU has taught me some essential life changing lessons. My biggest takeaway is to never take my body, health, and normalcy for granted. Appreciate the little things and love yourself fully in every moment.

In hindsight, it’s amazing how deeply interconnected our mind, body and soul can be in times of crises. This experience is one that I surely won't forget anytime soon!

THREE Important Takeaways from my 30 Hours in the Neuro ICU
1. Love the Person in the Mirror:

It took a brain seizure for me to learn something so important and basic. Growing up in India, I was often told that being lighter, skinnier, or fairer was the only kind of beautiful (sometimes by good intending adults too, they just sadly don't know any better). Even though I had written a book about reprogramming the subconscious mind and I truly understand the power of self-love, it still took me time to override those years of programming. The moment I saw my paralyzed face in the mirror before being rushed to hospital was both scary and unforgettable. Thankfully, after regaining my independence, I now view this person in the mirror with love and admiration – not worrying anymore about societal standards or beauty filters. Now when I affirm “I am Beautiful” in front of the mirror, it carries more than just words - it carries genuine meaning.

2. Stay Grateful:

I’ve been practicing gratitude for a few years now, and have seen some amazing changes come from it; however, nothing quite compares to what happened during these 30 hours in the neuro ICU. After experiencing so much uncertainty, fears and tears – realizing how quickly things can change made each small luxury feel like a miracle; including having a functioning face once again, being able to use the restroom independently or simply sitting outside on the balcony writing this blog! Learning to be grateful for every single thing we have can put things into perspective and help us not worry about minor issues that we tend to get caught up in.

3. The Only Way Out Is In:

This saying was also the title of my recently published book – showing just how strongly I believe it! However even knowing all there is to know about mindfulness wasn’t heavy enough alone that day; when all sorts of thoughts flooded through my mind - thoughts stemming from seeing my mom go through similar situation 15 years ago hit me hard! Taking control became critical from thereon – for I knew that human mind is capable of healing any disease and that prayer is powerful and our beliefs create our reality. Despite overwhelming fear, faith gave me internal healing which came within three hours of entering the hospital and my body started healing itself naturally.

I share this story not to brag but to inspire you and show you what’s possible when you change your mind about reality. You have the same power within you that I have within me. You can use it to overcome any challenge or achieve any goal you have in your life. All you need is faith, focus, and action.
