Gabrielle's story

On a fateful Sunday, August 9, 2020, I awoke with a heavy heart, as if a sinking feeling in my stomach had become my unwelcome morning companion. I had dedicated 25 years of my life to a successful corporate career in industrial psychology, but inside I was unravelling. Anxiety, sleepless nights, and a sense of isolation had taken their toll. I couldn't deny that something was seriously wrong. Little did I know that this day would mark the beginning of a transformative journey.

The Awakening

As I grappled with my internal turmoil, a chance encounter with a podcast altered the course of my life. The story told was of a woman whose daughter had miraculously recovered from a severe car accident and was on the cusp of motherhood. Despite the joyous occasion, the woman couldn’t shake her anxiety. Her narrative resonated deeply with me. I recognised that, like her, I was living in an invisible prison, trapped in a cycle of perpetual angst, always fearing the worst.

This moment was my wake-up call. It was clear that change wasn’t just something I wanted; it was something I needed.

Breaking the Chains

Leaving the corporate grind wasn't a snap decision. It took 18 months to gather the courage to make this big change, and by then, I'd become an energy master. When I eventually took the plunge, I felt a mix of emotions:

Relief: The weight of my long corporate journey lifted, and the freedom to choose a new path gave me hope.

Fear: My identity was wrapped up in my corporate role. Learning new skills made me feel uncertain, financial worries crept in, and I feared being judged by others.

I had my share of doubts and discomfort, but I kept moving forward.

Navigating the Unknown

Leaving a 25-year corporate career was no small feat. It needed a carefully considered plan.

Emotional Navigation

Staying Authentic: Remaining true to myself was my anchor, allowing me to believe in my journey.

Self-Care: Prioritising self-care kept my energy levels elevated.

Journaling: Documenting my journey through journaling helped me track progress and stay motivated.

Practical Navigation

Keeping Valuable Elements: I retained valuable aspects from my corporate life to create a bridge between my past and future, ensuring a smoother transition.

Community: Finding support in a like-minded community was invaluable.

Daily Progress: Committing to daily progress, no matter how small, kept me moving forward.

A Healthier You

As I delved deeper into my transformation, I realised that energy was the key to moving forward in my life. By healing the root of my anxiety through energy practices, it was like releasing an invisible handbrake. I experienced better sleep, less anger, improved relationships, and heightened creativity.

Rediscovering Purpose

Rediscovering my Purpose - “fulfilling potential together” - was a vital part of this journey. It served as my guiding star through the ups and downs, shaping my choices, where I spent my energy, and how I shared my gifts. It bolstered my well-being, increased my resilience, and created space for me to give back.

The Journey Continues

Today, I run Generative Growth, blending my psychology background and energy mastery to help people transform their lives rapidly and permanently via individual and group-based coaching programs. When I pinpoint and release blocks at their energetic root, they are gone for good. I also teach people the techniques I know so that they can heal themselves without relying on me.

If you find yourself in a rut, I'm here to support your journey of transformation. Remember, it's never too late to break free from that invisible prison, rediscover your purpose, and embark on a fulfilling new path.
